Terms of service

1. What this is. A paid lookup over the ASIC Company Dataset, a public dataset
   published by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission on
   data.gov.au. Each call costs USD 0.01, paid in USDC on
   Base under the x402 protocol. There is no account and no free tier.

2. Attribution and licence. Contains ASIC Company Register data sourced from data.gov.au, © Australian Securities and Investments Commission, licensed under CC BY 3.0 AU.
   The licence is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia
   (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/au/). If you redistribute data
   obtained here, you must carry that attribution too.

3. Accuracy. This is a weekly snapshot of the ASIC Company Dataset, not the official register. ASIC Connect (connectonline.asic.gov.au) is authoritative and updates in real time. This service is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, ASIC or the Commonwealth of Australia.
   Data is provided as is. No warranty is given that any record is accurate,
   current or complete. Verify anything that matters against ASIC Connect.

4. Personal information. This service serves records about companies and
   registered bodies only. The source dataset contains no names of individuals,
   no director or officeholder details and no addresses, and none are served.

5. What is logged. Per request: a random request id, the endpoint, the outcome,
   the response time, and, for a paid call, the settlement transaction hash and
   a truncated payer address. Query values and caller IP addresses are not
   written to logs. IP addresses are held in memory only, for rate limiting.

6. Payment. Payment is settled on the Base network through a third-party x402
   facilitator. A call that returns no match is not charged. A call that returns
   data is charged once; the settlement transaction hash is returned in the
   PAYMENT-RESPONSE header. Payments are final and there are no refunds.

7. Fair use. Requests are rate limited per caller and in aggregate. This service
   is a lookup, not a bulk export. The full dataset is free to download from
   data.gov.au and you should do that instead of paginating this endpoint.
